When Should I Get My Checkup During My Korea Trip?

After you’ve chosen your checkup package, the next question is: when should you schedule it during your trip to Korea? Here are the most common questions our American clients ask.

Q1. When is the best time to get my checkup during my trip?

The best option is any morning you have free. Most checkup packages begin in the morning and finish before lunch, leaving your afternoon open for sightseeing, shopping, or business meetings.

  • Plan your other important activities first, then schedule your checkup in a morning slot.
  • Early vs. late in your trip: If you are planning a colonoscopy and polyps are removed during the procedure, it’s safer to schedule it early in your trip. Doctors generally recommend avoiding air travel for about two weeks after polyp removal.

Q2. Can I get a dermatology treatment in the afternoon after my checkup?

Yes. Many clients book a morning checkup followed by an afternoon skincare or aesthetic treatment. It’s an efficient way to make the most of your time.

  • Every checkup includes blood tests, and some may involve sedation endoscopy.
  • If your dermatology procedure requires blood draws or general anesthesia, consult your doctor first.
  • Most skincare treatments are safe to do after your checkup.

Q3. How do I receive the colonoscopy prep kit?

  • You can pick it up in advance by visiting the health checkup center.
  • Or, simply provide Himedi with your hotel address, and the checkup center will deliver the kit directly to your hotel.
  • How to fast and prepare for your checkup

Q4. When and how will I get my results?

  • You will receive your English report by email within two weeks. (Processing time may vary slightly by hospital.)
  • If you would like imaging files (CD), the easiest way is to request them on the day of your checkup. You can also ask Himedi in advance.
  • If someone else collects the CD on your behalf later, a formal authorization letter is required.
