We'll guide you through the ins and outs of your first hospital visit, providing you with essential details on when to go, how to get there, and what to bring along. Rest assured, the skilled medical interpreters will be there to ensure seamless communication between you and your medical team.
What is a Full Body Checkup?
Hospitals and health screening centers in South Korea offer comprehensive health check-up programs. With over 30 screens, examinations use advanced medical equipment to detect any anomalies in your body.
Regular medical check-ups should be part of your personal care routine, ideally conducted once a year. This is especially important for men over 40 and women over 30.
These 3 to 4 hour tests can identify harmful symptoms early and ensure accurate diagnoses. The check-ups can also alert you to potential diseases or health issues and indicate if you have imbalances in your biometrics that can be corrected through diet and healthy habits.
Which hospital is right for me?
When it comes to aspects beyond medical care, we take into account each customer's unique preferences.
Booking requests are subject to confirmation with the selected hospital. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but availability cannot be guaranteed until confirmed. Thank you for your understanding.
Are there weekend openings available?
Our packages for the health check-up centers are affiliated with General Hospitals, therefore they are not open on weekends.
Does Himedi charge for its services?
Himedi does NOT charge a fee to our customers, there is no additional payment required for you to inquire and communicate with us.
You only pay for the services you book from our partners.

How do I arrange my accommodations?
Some individuals prefer comprehensive care throughout their entire stay, while others prefer a minimal level of assistance. Regardless of your preference, we can offer professional support in all areas you may need, including visa assistance, transportation arrangements, and accommodations.
How should I prepare for my exam?
You will receive a full list of instructions on how to prepare for your full body check up by email. You may also access these instructions when you create an account and login himedi.com.
Before your appointment, fasting is necessary. Do not consume any food 12 hours and water 8 hours before your exam.
There are specific requirements for colonoscopies three days before, up to the day of the exam.
Colonoscopies are required to be completed at least 2 weeks before any flight.
Why does a colonoscopy require 2 weeks? If you consent in advance, the doctor will remove any polyps found during the colonoscopy. Flying too soon after the polyp removal may cause bleeding in the intestines.
What is the recovery time?
You can usually resume your normal activities right after your exam. If your exam involves sedation, you'll likely need a few hours to recover fully from the effects of the sedation. It's generally recommended to rest for the remainder of the day, avoid driving, and refrain from making important decisions.
What happens post checkup?
The journey with Himedi continues even after you have completed your treatment in Korea and returned to your home country. We understand the importance of maintaining continuity in medical services, recognizing that it may not always be feasible for you to revisit Korea.
If you require the medication prescribed during your time in Korea, Himedi will ensure its delivery directly to your location. Additionally, you have the option to receive post-care services through telemedicine with the Korean specialist involved in your care.
