It started with one checkup.
Himedi wasn't founded on a business plan. It grew out of a personal mission — to give more people the kind of access to their health that Korea made possible for us.
Two paths to the same realization.
William got his first full-body checkup in Korea after the pandemic — imaging, endoscopy, dozens of tests in a single morning. What struck him wasn't the thoroughness; it was how accessible and affordable all of it was compared to the US system.
Donkyo Seo, in Seoul, was already the person friends-of-friends called when they needed to navigate a Korean hospital — finding the right clinic, booking the appointment, making it make sense.
Both had felt the frustration of US healthcare — from opposite sides of it.
In 2024 the two lines converged into Himedi — a government-licensed platform connecting international patients with the checkups that changed how we think about our own health.

We visit every clinic. In person. Every time.
Korea has thousands of screening clinics. Only those with strong medical reputations, advanced equipment, and genuinely patient-centered environments make the network.

Uncompromising fundamentals
Medical reputation, accreditation, and equipment standards come first — no exceptions, no shortcuts.
In-person assessment
Every clinic is walked, questioned, and inspected by our team before a single customer is sent.
Tailored experience
English support, clear preparation, and coordination built around international patients.
"Checkup" doesn't mean what you think it means.
Most people hear "checkup" and picture a 20-minute visit and one blood draw.
Exclusive packages. Everything handled.
We don't list clinics and ask you to compare — we've already done the comparison. Himedi builds exclusive checkup packages with vetted partner clinics, and routes every booking to the clinic best suited to it.
Every booking includes English support, appointment coordination, and a reviewed report — at no added fee. You pick the package and the date; we handle the rest.
Himedi is licensed by the Korean Ministry of Health & Welfare and earns referral fees from partner clinics — which means our incentive is simple: your checkup has to be worth the trust.
Take control of your health.
The checkup that started all of this is one booking away. Build yours in minutes — we'll handle the clinic and the logistics.
