William got his first full-body checkup in Korea after the pandemic. It was clean, fast, and thorough—everything healthcare back home wasn't. He came back to the U.S. wanting to make that experience accessible to everyone.

Donkyo

From Korea to the U.S.

Donkyo moved from Korea to the U.S. for business school. One of the first things he was told? "Don't go to the doctor here; just wait until you're back in Korea." He knew that feeling of being left without proper care—and wanted to change it.

When we met in 2024, we realized we'd both lived the same frustration from different sides. William started spreading the word in New York with a one-page flyer. Donkyo was in Seoul, helping people book hospitals and feel supported.

Himedi grew from there — not as a business idea, but as something personal. A way to help others feel cared for, just like we wish we had been.
