O’Sulloc Tea Museum: A Must-Visit Stop in Jeju

O’Sulloc Tea Museum: A Must-Visit Stop in Jeju

If you are getting a health checkup at KMI Jeju, one of the easiest places to visit afterward is O’Sulloc Tea Museum. Jeju is different from Seoul. In Seoul, the schedule usually moves quickly. Jeju feels slower. After a morning checkup, that slower pace is exactly what many travelers need.

KMI Jeju is located in Seogwipo, inside Jeju Healthcare Town. O’Sulloc Tea Museum is in Andeok, on the western side of Jeju. By rental car, the drive usually takes about 35 minutes. The parking area is large, and the space is easy to visit even if it is your first time in Jeju.

O’Sulloc opens at 9:00 AM. KMI Jeju is still much quieter than the major checkup centers in Seoul, so a basic full-body checkup can often be completed in about an hour. My recommendation is simple: start your checkup at KMI Jeju around 8:00 AM, then visit O’Sulloc around 10:00 AM.

O’Sulloc is operated by Amorepacific, one of Korea’s leading beauty companies. Amorepacific is known globally through brands such as Sulwhasoo, Laneige, Innisfree, and many others. What I find interesting about Amorepacific is its long-standing focus on expressing Asian beauty in a modern way. You can feel that philosophy at O’Sulloc Tea Museum.

I recommend visiting on a clear day, during a quieter morning hour

1. The Green Tea Field

The first place I would stop is the Seogwang Tea Garden, the green tea fields beside O’Sulloc. This is probably the most recognizable view of O’Sulloc. The rows of green tea plants are simple, but that simplicity is the point. You see the green tea fields, Jeju’s volcanic land, the stone walls, and the open sky. It is not dramatic in the way a mountain or waterfall is dramatic. It is quieter than that. But it is a good first photo spot, especially in the morning before the space becomes too crowded.

2. Food & Drinks

One reason O’Sulloc is easy to recommend is that there is a lot to eat and drink in one place. This is not just a tea museum where you briefly look around and leave. You can actually spend time here. You can drink tea, try green tea desserts, sit outside, have a light meal, and visit the Innisfree Jeju House next door. There are three main places to enjoy food and drinks.

  • Tea Museum Café: The café inside the Tea Museum is the classic O’Sulloc experience. Most visitors come here for green tea ice cream, tea drinks, cakes, and dessert sets. If this is your first visit, this is the easiest place to start.
  • Tea Terrace: It is O’Sulloc’s Korean dining space behind the main Tea Museum building, with the Gotjawal forest in the background. The main reason to stop here is the matcha noodles. O'sulloc describes them as handmade fresh noodles made daily with high-quality matca grown in Jeju, using a special recipe by Michelin chef Kim Do-Yun. It's closer to a tea-paring dining experience tan a noral cafe menu. After a morning checkup, this can be a good option if you want something more substantial than dessert but still lighter than a heavy restaurant meal.

  • Innisfree Jeju House: Right next to O’Sulloc, you can also visit Innisfree Jeju House. For this section, I am not talking about skincare shopping or the soap-making experience. Those are separate parts of the visit. What I would recommend here is the The brunch Café right next to Innisfree Jeju House. The café is useful because it offers more than tea and dessert. Compared with the main Tea Museum café, which is more focused on tea drinks, green tea ice cream, and sweets, Innisfree Jeju House feels closer to a light brunch stop.

3. Beauty and Gift Shopping

O’Sulloc is also a good place to buy gifts. Tea is easy to bring home. It is light, beautifully packaged, and works for almost anyone — family, friends, coworkers, or clients. For beauty products, Innisfree Jeju House is the better stop. You can browse Jeju-inspired skincare products without going to a crowded shopping district.

This is one of the reasons I like this stop for Himedi clients. Many of our customers are already interested in Korean skincare, beauty, and wellness. O’Sulloc and Innisfree let them experience that world in a softer, more relaxed way.

Innisfree Jeju House seems especially popular with women in their 20s and 30s

More than 70% of the visitors appeared to be international travelers, shopping for Jeju-inspired skincare products.

4. Experiences

O’Sulloc also works because different people can enjoy it in different ways. For families with children, the soap-making experience at Innisfree Jeju House can be a good activity. It is simple, visual, and easy for kids to understand. For adults, especially people who enjoy wine or whisky, the Tea Stone experience may be more interesting. O’Sulloc offers more curated tea programs, including tea tasting experiences that feel closer to a pairing or tasting session than a normal café visit.

The pairing of Asian tea with oak barrels, a familiar element in wine and whisky culture, is interesting

Best Time to Visit

I recommend visiting in the morning. O’Sulloc opens at 9:00 AM, and it gets busier later in the day. That is why timing matters. The schedule I would recommend is:

  • 8:00 AM — Health checkup at KMI Jeju
  • 9:00–9:30 AM — Finish a basic checkup, depending on package
  • 10:00 AM — Arrive at O’Sulloc Tea House

This gives the morning a good rhythm. You take care of your health first, then enjoy one of Jeju’s most recognizable wellness stops before lunch.
