Exploring Seoul’s Longevity Scene #3: JUNO SEOUL
Comprehensive health checkups, which are Himedi’s core service, are often the starting point for wellness and longevity. Many of our customers come to Korea for a health checkup, but they also ask what else they can experience in Seoul related to wellness, recovery, and longevity. This is still emerging in Korea. New services, products, and physical spaces continue to launch, each trying to offer a new kind of experience. That's why I continue to search, visit, and experience these places myself.
I first became interested in JUNO SEOUL because of two things. In September 2025, Blackstone, one of the largest global private equity firm, announced a significant investment in JUNO Hair, one of Korea’s leading premium hair care brands. Then, on June 25, 2026, JUNO Hair opened JUNO SEOUL, its first flagship store in Hannam-dong, with a focus on the global market. Secondly, hair is also an important category for many American customers. We often hear questions about scalp care products, head spas, Korean medicine, Western medical treatments, non-surgical treatments, and hair transplantation.

Why JUNO SEOUL?
I visited JUNO SEOUL on July 9, 2026, during its first month of opening. I experienced its 18-step hair spa program, originally priced at KRW 220,000($150) with a 30% opening-month discount. If I were to recommend JUNO SEOUL among the many head spa options in Seoul, it would be for three reasons.
- First, the staff can communicate in English. Naturally, some staff members are more fluent than others, but the fact that English communication is available throughout the experience makes it much easier for international customers.
- Second, the process is highly transparent. A tablet was placed in front of my seat with a brochure explaining all 18 steps of the program. Before each step began, the hair designer explained which product would be used and what stage of the treatment I was entering. I think this kind of transparency is especially important for international customers. When customers can clearly understand what program they are receiving, how much it costs, and whether each step is being properly delivered, it builds trust.
- Third, the equipment feels new and advanced. Korea is strong in technology and manufacturing, so one of the enjoyable parts of visiting newly opened wellness spaces is seeing the latest equipment in use.
- Fourth, the space feels designed for hair spa customers, not just haircut clients. Many local salons in Korea have rows of closely packed styling chairs, which can make visitors feel as though they are expected to get a haircut. JUNO SEOUL allocates more space to its hair spa services, creating a calmer and less pressured experience for customers who are visiting solely for scalp and hair care.

I could view my scalp condition and program details on the tablet in front of me, while the stylist briefly introduced each product at every step.

Shampooing and several other steps are done in a massage chair, a first for Juno Hair. The heated eye mask was a nice touch and left me feeling refreshed afterward.

Looked noticeably cleaner afterward. Compared with the hair spas I have tried at the clinics(western and traditional medicine), this was clearly more effective for scalp cleansing.
JUNO SEOUL is not just a place to get a haircut. It shows how Korean beauty is expanding into wellness, relaxation, and personalized self-care. For customers who are interested in Korean beauty but want something less medical than a clinic visit, a head spa can be an easy and enjoyable experience. Seoul's wellness and longevity scene is not limited to hospitals. It is emerging across many different spaces, including retail, skincare, supplements, body and hair care, etc.
