Chief director Professor Baek Seung-hyuk was a colorectal cancer specialist at Severance and the first surgeon in Korea to perform HIPEC, in July 2014, with close to 400 cases by 2020. He performs the colonoscopies here personally. The center opened in April 2021 across the third and fourth floors, and added a reception lounge for international patients in May 2026.
