CHA University Fertility Center Magok

CHA University Fertility Center Magok is the dedicated fertility flagship of CHA Medical Group — a pioneer in reproductive medicine in Korea since 1960, with a history that includes Korea's first IVF baby born through a private hospital (1986), Korea's first successful ICSI, and the world's first successful birth through in vitro maturation (IVM) of immature oocytes. The Magok center brings this 60+ year legacy of clinical firsts into a next-generation AI-integrated facility, with a floor dedicated exclusively to international patients.

  • Dedicated Tower B — entire floor exclusively for international patients
  • Dedicated medical team and international coordinators on-site
  • One-stop care: consultation, diagnostic testing, procedures, and follow-up in a single center
  • Languages: English, Russian, Chinese (WhatsApp available)
  • Personalized treatment strategy tailored to each patient's individual clinical profile

Address: 7F, 143 Magokjungang-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Korea

Operating Hours Operating hours for the International Patient Center (Tower B) are available upon reservation. As fertility treatment is cycle-dependent and requires visits at specific times (e.g., Day 2–3 of the menstrual cycle), scheduling is always coordinated directly with the international team before arrival.

About the Center

The CHA Global AI Fertility Center at Magok is more than a clinic — it is a next-generation fertility model built around the integration of artificial intelligence across the entire IVF clinical process, from embryo selection through ongoing pregnancy management. The center is housed within a purpose-built international medical complex and is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and culturally sensitive experience for patients traveling from abroad.

Treatment protocols are built around each patient's unique clinical profile. There is no standard protocol applied uniformly — every case begins with a thorough consultation and is adjusted continuously based on the patient's specific response and history.

Global AI Fertility System

What sets the Magok center apart from conventional fertility clinics is the systematic integration of AI technology at every critical decision point:

Embryoscope / Embryo Assessment Model AI evaluates each embryo's implantation potential by analyzing 24-hour time-lapse data of its development patterns — enabling more precise selection than conventional visual assessment alone.

CASA / ZyMot An AI-driven sperm analysis and microfluidic selection system that identifies the highest-quality sperm based on motility, morphology, and minimal DNA fragmentation — improving fertilization outcomes.

Nikon ECLIPSE Ti2-I An AI-based motorized microscope system that enhances the precision and efficiency of complex procedures including ICSI, PolScope ICSI, and IMSI.

Bio Tank A systematic temperature and environment-controlled cryogenic storage system for embryos and reproductive cells — ensuring long-term stability and preservation quality.

Treatments & Services

IVF — In Vitro Fertilization Personalized IVF protocols tailored to each patient's individual clinical needs. Advanced fertilization techniques available include ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), PolScope ICSI (meiotic spindle observation-guided), and IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection).

IVM — In Vitro Maturation A sophisticated technique in which immature eggs are retrieved directly from the ovaries and matured in a specialized laboratory environment before fertilization — reducing the need for heavy ovarian stimulation. CHA holds a world-first record in IVM outcomes.

IVM Process:

  1. Immature egg retrieval — direct collection of immature oocytes
  2. In vitro maturation and sperm collection — maturing eggs in specialized culture medium
  3. Fertilization and culture using ICSI, PolScope ICSI, or IMSI
  4. Embryo freezing (cryopreserved in the BioBank) or direct uterine transfer
  5. Pregnancy confirmation and ongoing monitoring

PGT — Preimplantation Genetic Testing Comprehensive embryo screening before transfer to identify chromosomal abnormalities and genetic disorders. Available tests: PGT-A (aneuploidy), PGT-SR (structural rearrangements), PGT-M (monogenic disorders).

IUI — Intrauterine Insemination Available for appropriate candidates as a less invasive first-line treatment.

Social Bio Bank — Egg Freezing (Fertility Preservation) A specialized egg banking program for individuals who wish to preserve their fertility for the future. Eggs are retrieved, vitrified, and stored securely in the on-site BioBank cryogenic system.

Egg Freezing Process:

  1. Initial consultation and ultrasound — ideally on Day 2–3 of the menstrual cycle
  2. Ovarian stimulation
  3. Egg retrieval — performed under conscious sedation using ultrasound-guided needle aspiration
  4. Cryopreservation — eggs are vitrified and stored securely in the BioBank

What to Expect as an International Patient

Tower B at CHA Magok is a dedicated global medical space — not a general clinic with a translation desk added on. International coordinators are embedded in the care team, accompanying patients from their first consultation through procedures and follow-up. All clinical communication, documentation, and support are provided in the patient's language throughout the journey.

For patients traveling to Korea specifically for fertility treatment, the Magok location offers convenient access from Incheon Airport and is located within a major mixed-use medical complex in the Magok business district of Gangseo-gu, western Seoul.
