Preparation for Whole Body MRI [+ Checkup]
The Day Before Your Check-up

Rest Well
- Avoid alcohol, smoking, and overwork. Get enough sleep.

Dinner
- Have a light meal before 8:00 PM.
- After 9:00 PM, no food or drink (water only).
- If you have indigestion, eat porridge before 6:00 PM.

Medication
- If you are under medical treatment, consult your doctor first.
- For gastroscopy/colonoscopy patients taking blood thinners (Aspirin, Coumadin/Warfarin, Plavix, etc.), consult your doctor.
- If taken within the last 7 days, biopsy may not be possible.

Female Patients
- Tests (urine, cervical cancer) should be done 5–7 days after menstruation ends.
- No intercourse or vaginal suppositories 24 hours before cervical cancer test.
- For individuals who are breastfeeding, mammography and breast ultrasound examinations are restricted.

Pregnancy
- If there is a possibility, confirm pregnancy before the check-up.

Endoscopy (Gastroscopy / Colonoscopy)
- General Precautions
- If you have nails with cubic stones or accessories, please remove them from at least one finger before your visit.
- If your front teeth are weak or you have dental implants, there may be some limitations for sedation endoscopy. (During the procedure, you may need to bite down on a mouthpiece, which carries a small risk of breaking a front tooth — though this is uncommon.)
- Colonoscopy
- Follow the instructions in the colonoscopy guide.
- General Precautions
- Please remove all accessories before your visit, as they may interfere with the examination.
On the Day of Your Check-up

Fasting
- No food, water, gum, or smoking for at least 10 hours before the exam.

Blood Pressure Medication
- Take 3 hours before the exam or immediately upon waking with a small sip of water.
- If blood pressure is too high, endoscopy may not be performed.

Diabetes Medication
- Insulin and diabetes medication should be taken after the check-up.

Sedated Endoscopy
- 🚫 No driving after sedation.
- The center is not responsible for accidents.
- If you come by car and leave by public transport, parking fees are not covered.

Ultrasound (Prostate / Pelvic / Uterus)
- Please come while holding your first morning urine.

Belongings
- Do not bring valuables or accessories.
- Avoid bringing children.

Allergies
- If you had allergic reactions to medication in the past (e.g., contrast agents, anesthetics), inform the staff.
